PORTLAND & ELLSWORTH — The Maine Community Foundation’s Chet Jordan Leadership Awards, totaling $25,000, were recently given to eight college students. The awards are given annually to emerging college leaders with the ability to turn a vision into reality and engage others to make lasting impacts on their community.
Scholarship recipients are: Hannah Boone, Patten: University of Maine at Machias; Lillian Bray, Woodland: University of Maine at Presque Isle; Casey Raymond, South Paris: University of Maine at Augusta; and Lily Belanger, Pittston; Gabriel DosReis, Harrison; Jasper Makowski, Dover-Foxcroft; Emerson Morris, Charlotte: and Edgelynn Venuti, Robbinston: all at the University of Maine at Orono.
Students who graduated from Maine high schools are eligible to apply for the award. The scholarships support post-secondary study in a certificate, two-year, or four-year undergraduate program through the University of Maine System, Maine Community College System, Maine Maritime Academy or Maine vocational and technical schools.
The next deadline for the award is April 15, 2025.
