On Nov. 5, voters in House District 68 which serves the towns of Burnham, Clinton, Pittsfield and Troy will have the opportunity to vote for a candidate who understands the concerns of small-town Maine. Brian Blake is a native Mainer who was brought up in a mill-working family.
Brian’s career includes business, service as a member of the Troy select board as well as a community volunteer including as a founding board member of the Unity Public Library.
Blake’s goals as a state representative are straight-forward. Create economic opportunities for Central Maine communities including repairing and expanding our infrastructure of highways and bridges. Invest in work force training for both young people and those changing careers. Responsibly lower property taxes and fight for services for Seniors so that they can retire with comfort and dignity.
A vote for Blake is a vote for a sustainable and vibrant rural Maine.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
