AUGUSTA — Three Augusta men were arrested Tuesday following the execution of search and arrest warrants at a River Street home as part of an ongoing investigation into the illegal sale and distribution of narcotics, officials said Wednesday.

Tymberlin M.T. Peaslee, 21; Scott Cogswell, 56; and Todd Spencer, 34, were arrested on outstanding warrants, according to police.
Augusta police and representatives of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency; and Maine State Police converged shortly before noon on the home at 53 River St., according to an announcement from Chief Kevin Lully of the Augusta Police Department.

Officers reportedly seized contraband and weapons, but the amounts and types were not disclosed Wednesday.
Cogswell and Spencer were being held Wednesday at the Kennebec County Correctional Facility in Augusta. Peaslee was not at the jail, but information on his location was not available.
River Street, a short dead-end road on the east side of Sand Hill, runs off Oxford Street.
