JEFFERSON — Firefighters from several communities worked Wednesday afternoon to put out a barn fire at a property just off Route 126.

The barn is located at 429 Gardiner Road — which is also Route 126 — between Route 215 and Hinks Road. Route 126 was closed to traffic so that a water relay could be set up between Clary Lake and the site of the fire in this northern Lincoln County town.
