ANSON – Norman Joseph Cody, 87, passed away peacefully on Nov. 12, 2024, with his wife, Ann by his side.
Norman was born on May 6, 1937, in Gardiner, the son of Maurice Cody and Lucienne Betit.
Norman was a proud Marine Corps veteran, a member of the Marine Corps League and the American Legion. In his earlier years, he was a carpenter by trade. He enjoyed using the computer, drawing and painting, and singing. He sang in the choir at the St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Madison.
Norman has family throughout the United States and Canada. He is survived by his wife, Ann Cody from Anson and her family; his four children and their families; along with his four sisters, one brother, and their families.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Main St., Madison, on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 11 a.m. A committal service will be celebrated at the Central Maine Veterans’ Cemetery – Civic Center Drive, 143 Blue Star Avenue, in Augusta, on Monday, Dec. 2, at 2 p.m.
