Kennebec Performing Arts Company is set to present “Music for the Season” on Friday, Dec. 6, at Winthrop Performing Arts Center, Winthrop High School, 211 Rambler Road in Winthrop, and on Saturday, Dec. 7, at William and Elsie Viles Auditorium, Cony High School, 60 Pierce Dr. in Augusta.
The company’s jazz band, under the direction of trumpeter John Reeves, will also perform on Thursday, Dec. 5, at Moody Chapel on the Kennebec Valley Community College campus, Stanley Road in Hinkley, as part of its “Music at Moody” concert series.
All performances begin at 7 p.m. There is no cost.
The weekend performances, in addition to the jazz band, will feature the company’s choir and wind ensemble with its new director, John Neal, at the podium.
