FARMINGTON — Franklin Savings Bank has been awarded the Lender at Work for Maine Award by the Finance Authority of Maine at its annual Showcase Maine event.
Each year, FAME recognizes individuals and organizations that contribute to Maine’s economic vitality and quality higher education, according to a news release. The bank was selected as the recipient in the financial institutions under $1.5 billion category.
Over the past year, Franklin Savings Bank partnered with FAME on 10 loans totaling approximately $4.5 million, helping to create new Maine jobs and retain an additional 85 jobs, the release stated.
