EAST VASSALBORO — Christmas Through the Ages, a guided tour with costumed hosts presenting Christmas displays from different eras, is set for 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 has been canceled. Tours will begin and end at the Vassalboro Historical Society Museum, 327 Main St.
Tour stops include:
Moravian Celebrations (1700s): Perk’s Home, 385 Stanley Hill Road;
Colonial Maine (1800s): Weidner’s Home, 320 Main St.;
The Victorian Home (1850s): Jones’ Home, 943 Bog Road;
A Wartime Christmas (1940s): Vassalboro Public Library, 930 Bog Road;
A Wartime Christmas (1910s): Vassalboro Grange, 353 Main St.; and
Postwar Christmas (1950s) and Christmas today: Vassalboro Historical Society, 327 Main St.
Light refreshments will be available at the museum. The final tour will begin at 12:50 p.m. A complete tour will last about two and a half hours.
Tickets are limited. The cost per ticket is $20; there are no refunds.
