HARMONY — A single-family home on Trafton Road was engulfed in flames Wednesday when firefighters from four communities arrived at the scene.
Harmony Fire Chief Onie Lougee said passersby reported the fire shortly before 7:30 a.m.

“The entire house was on fire when we got called,” Lougee said.
At the time of the fire, no one was home at 6 Trafton Road, he said. The home was declared a total loss.
Lougee said the cause of the fire was not yet determined.
“We’re not 100% sure yet,” Lougee said.
The property is located in the northwest part of town in a wooded area on Trafton Road off of state Route 154, which is also known as Harmony Road in that area. It sits on a large, isolated piece of land with no other homes nearby.
Harmony tax records show the house belongs to Carlton G. Sandy and Pamela J. Brunet.
Firefighters from Athens, Cambridge and Wellington also responded to the scene.
