WINSLOW — A man was taken into custody after firefighters extinguished a blaze at his mobile home Monday that investigators say was set intentionally.
Crews from a half-dozen communities were called to 328 Abbott Road just after 11:30 p.m. Monday and remained on scene for about three hours extinguishing and investigating the fire, Winslow Deputy Fire Chief Mike Murphy said Tuesday. No one was injured.

The Office of State Fire Marshal and Winslow Police Department are investigating after it was determined the fire was set intentionally, Murphy said.
“The trailer was heavily damaged,” he said. “We did find a few spots of intentionally set fires.”
The trailer is a total loss, Murphy said, as the fire tore through the center of the building.
“The structure is still standing, but the inside is pretty much gutted between the fire and the smoke damage,” he said.
Police took the home’s lone occupant, Joseph Forestell, 40, into protective custody after the incident, Shannon Moss, public information officer for the Maine Department of Public Safety, said.
Forestell was taken to a hospital in Waterville for a mental health evaluation; Moss said no further information is available at this time.
Firefighters from Waterville, Fairfield, South China, Vassalboro, Sidney and Albion responded to the fire.
