River Arts in Damariscotta plans to kick off the New Year with a winter blockbuster Members’ Show set for Jan. 14-Feb. 22 at its 36 Elm St. gallery.

The public is invited to meet the artists, view their artwork, enjoy lively conversation and light refreshments at the opening reception set for 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18.

This year’s show presents a bounty of new work from Maine artists capturing the heartbeat of the contemporary Maine art scene. Works on display include paintings, sculpture, pastel, ceramics, original print making, wood, fiber and photography.
