WALES — Jacob Linkletter scored 16 points to lead the Madison boys basketball team to a 48-37 win over Oak Hill in a Mountain Valley Conference game on Thursday night.
Ethan Linkletter added 10 points for the Bulldogs (6-5).
Braden New led the Raiders (3-10) with 12 points. Eli Desmond finished with 10.
MARANACOOK 49, WINTHROP 45: Jack Fontaine scored 14 points to lead the Black Bears (7-5) to an MVC win over the Ramblers (7-5) in Readfield.
Ethan Chilton had 10 points, while Mitchell Maceda scored eight points, grabbed 12 rebounds and had 10 blocks for Maranacook.
Chan Ring led Winthrop with 18 points.
MONMOUTH ACADEMY 66, BOOTHBAY 51: Sophomores Jacob Harmon and Levi Laverdiere paced the Mustangs past the Seahawks in Monmouth.
Harmon put up a game-high 21 points, including 5-of-6 shooting at the free-throw line. Laverdiere finished with 20 points, hitting a pair of 3-pointers and 6 of 7 free throws. Monmouth (8-4), which dealt Mt. Abram its first loss on Tuesday, has won three straight games.
Junior Simeon Bates and senior Tyson French led Boothbay (3-9) with 16 points apiece.
VALLEY 94, FOREST HILLS 59: Levi Short scored 18 points as the Cavaliers won in an East/West game in Bingham.
Fisher Tewksbury added 17 points for Valley (10-0). Four other Valley players scored in double figures: Collin Nichols (15), Harry Louis (13), Kamdyn Conrad (12) and Hunter Mills (10).
Jaxson Desjardins led the Tigers (6-8) with 21 points.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
VALLEY 81, FOREST HILLS 47: Kirsten Bigelow and Madeline Hill each scored 18 points and Valley remained undefeated by cruising to an 81-45 win over Forest Hills in a Class D South girls basketball game in Bingham.
The Cavaliers (10-0) raced to a 30-6 lead in the first quarter, then extended the margin to 53-17 by halftime.
Bri Mills (13 points) and Liana Hartwell (12) also reached double figures for Valley.
Addison Chaisson led Forest Hills (9-5) with 15 points. Allie Dunning, Janessa Moffitt, Morgan Petrucci and Kelsey Rancourt all scored eight points.
