Jacob Linkletter sank five 3-pointers and put up 18 points to pace Madison to a 68-43 boys basketball victory Old Orchard Beach on Monday in Madison.

Finn Haynie (three 3s) added 13 points and Brayden Furbush had 10 for the Bulldogs (8-7).

Brady Plante scored a game-high 23 points and Trot Moody added nine for the Seagulls (5-8).

MONMOUTH 83, RICHMOND 38: Four players made at least five field goals as the Mustangs (12-4) earned their seventh consecutive victory by thrashing the Bobcats (7-7) in Monmouth.

Levi Laverdiere, who hit three 3-pointers, led Monmouth with 23 points. Bingham Abbott contributed 12 and Noah Brown and Jacob Harmon chipped in 10 each.

David Edwards hit four 3s and scored 18 points for Richmond, and Jake Gay had nine points.

TELSTAR 60, CARRABEC 37: The Class D Rebels (10-4) rode a big first quarter to a big win over the Class C Cobras (11-4) in Bethel.

Telstar outscored Carrabec 21-7 in the opening quarter.

Brody Morgan led the Rebels with a game-high 27 points, including five 3-pointers. Connor Deprey added 11 points.

The victory is the Rebels’ third straight and moves them into second place in D South.

Jackson Newton was Carrabec’s top scorer with 14 points. Pete Vicneire hit two 3s and finished with 10 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

MADISON 65, BOOTHBAY 26: Raegan Cowan and Jacey Moody each put up 14 points for the Bulldogs (11-4) in their win over the Seahawks (3-13) in Madison.

Mackenzie Robbins added 12 points for Madison, which had 10 players score at least two points.

Tatum French hit three 3-pointers and scored 15 points for Boothbay.

MONMOUTH 31, RICHMOND 29: The Mustangs (10-6) won a low-scoring matchup with the Bobcats (8-7) in Richmond.

Monmouth was led by Addison Beaudoin, Kaitlyn Frost and Lillian Palleschi, who scored six points apiece. Eight players scored for the Mustangs.

Richmond’s Ella Briand led all scorers with 12 points, while Darby Flanagan scored 10.

MT. ABRAM 38, MARANACOOK 34: The Roadrunners (8-7) outscored the Black Bears (8-7) 26-13 in the second half to claim an important victory in Salem Township.

Jenna Osgood paced Mt. Abram with 14 points, while Jany Pepin and Kharlie Turner finished with eight apiece.

Kayla Dubois scored 10 and Celia Bergdahl had seven for Maranacook.
