CAMDEN — The free and interactive Muddy Boots Series offers children the freedom to move and dance at concerts created just for them.
All concerts will be held at Bay Chamber Concerts & Music School at 5 Mountain St.; there’s no need to register.
The first concert is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15. Rasa String Quartet’s program features a diversity of pieces ranging from Haydn to Pink Floyd to contemporary “musical explorer” Graham Cohen.
Other upcoming concerts are as follows.
Zachary Sweet, cello, and Kerry Mizrahi, piano, 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1. The duo will play pieces old and new, including classic works by Bach and Schumann.
Halcyon String Quartet, 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29. Halcyon’s concert is inspired by Munro Leaf’s beloved children’s book, “The Story of Ferdinand.” The quartet combines music, story and illustration in a performance for all ages. Musical selections include classical favorites, folk tunes and nostalgic childhood songs.
Falu’s Bazaar, 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24. Singer/Songwriter Falu Shah introduces children to the wonders of South Asian music. Her songs will take them on a musical journey through South Asia and the day-to-day wonders of childhood. A Grammy Award winner and internationally renowned artist, Falu blends modern style with Indian classical and folk music. The concert celebrates the ways music can express differences and connections across cultures.
