Michael B. Stoddard
PITTSTON – Michael B. Stoddard, 63, died peacefully on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family and his dog, Sophie, by his side.
Michael was born in Augusta, on July 6, 1961, the son of the late Ira and Lily (Grenier) Stoddard. He graduated from Gardiner Area High School class of 1979.
Following high school, Michael worked several jobs including the shoe factory and carpentry. He then went to work for Pella Windows Sales for 25 years. In 2010 he earned his real estate license and sold real estate until his illness forced him to retire early in 2020.
On June 29, 1985, he married the love of his life, Judy Farrington, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Gardiner. Together they shared 40 years of marriage.
In his spare time, Michael loved to go fishing and camping with family and friends. He loved traveling and was always up for an adventure. He would spend hours in his shop doing woodworking, building furniture, wall decor, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t build. He loved playing golf, as an avid New England Patriots fan. Michael’s greatest love was the time he was surrounded by family and friends. Michael will be remembered for his great sense of humor, which he had right to the very end. He was a longtime member of Faith Christian Church in Gardiner.
Michael was predeceased by a nephew, Jason Stoddard.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Stoddard of Pittston; one daughter, Bethany Pinkham and husband Jake of Manchester; two granddaughters, Avery and Lydia Pinkham of Manchester; three brothers, Ira Stoddard of Skowhegan, Norman and Bonnie Stoddard, Wis., Ronald Stoddard of Augusta; many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 8, 11 a.m., at the Faith Christian Church, Brunswick Ave., Gardiner. Arrangements are under the direction and guidance of Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner.
