DAMARISCOTTA — Mid-Coast Audubon plans to accept bird seed orders through Saturday, Feb. 15, to raise funds to support bird conservation and education programming.

Five varieties are available: Black oil sunflower seed, sunflower meaties (hulled), Melody Mix , thistle (nyger), and suet blocks. Orders can be placed at midcoast-audubon.square.site.

Seed must be picked up between 10 a.m. noon Saturday, Feb. 22, at one of two locations specified when ordering: Plants Unlimited, 629 Commercial St. in Rockport, or Lincoln County Publishing, 116 Mills Road, Newcastle.

“Replenishing your bird seed supply with the Mid-Coast Audubon Seed Sale is a win for the birds you feed, a win for your enjoyment of more birds visiting your yard, and a win for keeping our programs and properties, including a speaker series, field trips, environmental education grants, and preserve trails, free and open to all with the support of proceeds from this sale,” MCA President Jeff Cherry said in a news release from the Audubon chapter.
