HALLOWELL – Kristy E. Creamer, 77, of Hallowell passed away at the Woodlands Senior Living in Waterville on Feb. 1, 2025. She was born Nov. 26, 1947, to Merle and Pearl Fisher. She grew up in Farmingdale and Hallowell, graduating from Sheldon Street School and then Hall-Dale High School in 1966.
Kristy worked for the State of Maine for a year before traveling to Honolulu, Hawaii, where she married Robert Creamer.
Upon returning to Maine with her husband and son, Gary, in 1969, she returned to work for the State of Maine in several departments before she and her family- Robert, Gary and Wendy, born in 1973- moved to Arizona for the next 26 years.
Kristy started working at Yavapai College in Prescott, Ariz., and later became the director of the learning center before retiring in 2001. In 2006, she and her husband moved back to Hallowell.
Kristy loved her family, her many cats, working “in the gardens” at her home, and she even enjoyed shoveling snow in the winter. She also enjoyed attending local sporting events, especially the tournament at the A.C.C in February. Kristy also loved traveling to Fenway Park to watch the Red Sox.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Gary of El Mirage, Ariz., her daughter, Wendy of Gardiner; sister, Sheryl of Gardiner, and brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Wendy; as well as three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Our family wishes to thank all the hard-working employees of the Woodlands Memory Unit in Waterville, their professional and caring approach made this time easier for all concerned.
Kristy’s visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church Street Augusta. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
