Michael Sirois
LOWELL, Mass. – Mr. Michael Sirois, 77, passed away on Feb. 9, 2025, at Lowell General Hospital after a brief illness.
Michael was born on Nov. 21, 1947, in Skowhegan. He is the son of the late Romeo and Alice (Robichaud) Sirois. Michael was a graduate of Skowhegan Area High School. He resided in Lowell, Mass. for many years and previously resided in Norridgewock.
Michael was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service and continued to work as a security guard during retirement.
He was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He held the rank of SP 4.
Michael enjoyed woodworking, photography, genealogy and reading, particularly history.
He is survived by his sons Nathan M. Sirois of Portland, Alexander L. Sirois of Portland and Aaron M. Sirois of Gray; as well as his sister, Jan Royall of Kingfield and brother, Timothy Sirois of Skowhegan.
Michael’s visitation will be in the Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church St., Augusta on Tuesday, March 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., immediately followed by his graveside service with Military Honors at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mount Vernon Rd., Augusta at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
Arrangements and guidance are in the care of Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1 Church St., Augusta.
