Around 10:30 a.m., investigators searched the residence of Leeanna Gosselin on Madison Road, Sheriff Dale Lancaster said in a statement issued Friday.

The search, executed by five Somerset County Sheriff’s Office detectives, six patrol deputies and a Waterville Police Department detective, led to the arrests of the four, Lancaster said.

They were identified as Gosselin, 31; Randell Woods, 39, of Norridgewock, Kahmarii James, 25, of Springfield, Massachusetts; and Jason Fogg, 33, of Enfield, Connecticut.

Each was arrested on two Class A counts of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, Lancaster said. The charges were aggravated due to the quantity of drugs police seized and the presence of firearms in the residence; Woods also has a prior conviction for a drug trafficking offense.

All were being held as of Friday morning at the Somerset County Jail in Madison, with cash bail set at $100,000 each, Lancaster said.

The four were expected to make in-custody appearances in court in Skowhegan Friday afternoon, when a judge could change the bail amount and appoint attorneys for the suspects if necessary. Lancaster said the four are due back in court May 7.

The Sheriff’s Office criminal division obtained the warrant after a monthlong investigation that led investigators to suspect drugs were being sold at the residence, he said.

When the search began, James and Fogg fled into a wooded area behind the house, Lancaster said. Where they were eventually found, investigators said they found a loaded 9 mm pistol, cocaine base and fentanyl.

In total, after searching inside the residence, the Sheriff’s Office found and seized 223 grams of cocaine base and fentanyl, a loaded .38-caliber pistol, a loaded .45-caliber pistol, a loaded  9mm pistol, a 12-gauge shotgun, drug-related documentation and $2,491 in suspected proceeds.

The street value of the seized illegal drugs is estimated at $23,000, according to Lancaster.

Prosecutors in the Somerset County district attorney’s office are reviewing the case and may file additional charges, the sheriff said.
