LEWISTON — Composer and pianist Clifford Cameron plans to perform at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, at the Oasis of Music at Trinity Commons, 247 Bates St.

Cameron is a Maine-based pianist and composer with a particular fondness for improvised music.
He obtained his bachelor’s degree in composition and jazz performance from the New School and the Mannes School in New York City. His music consists of a merging of natural themes and settings with contemporary music. His influences range from Scottish traditional music to Debussy, Stevie Wonder, the Goat Music sessions, Palestrins and the Beatles.
His compositions have premiered at various venues, from Lincoln Center in New York to the International Jazz Festival in Bern, Switzerland, and Croatia.
Admission is free, with donations accepted.
