The Bowdoin College women’s basketball team will play its next game at home Friday after Bowdoin was named a host site for the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 rounds of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Bowdoin advanced with a 67-54 win over SUNY Cortland in Brunswick on Saturday. The Polar Bears (29-0) will face Smith College (28-2), the team that knocked them out of the tournament last year in the quarterfinals. The game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Morrell Gymnasium after Gustavus Adolphus College (MN) takes on McMurray State (Texas) at 5 p.m., also in Brunswick. The winners will meet Saturday in the Elite 8 at 7:30 p.m.
Ticket information for the games will be announced Monday, according to the Bowdoin College Athletic Department.
