The program covers the types of life that can be found in marshes to the ways they support coastal communities. The program will also share how roads and historic farming have modified the way marsh systems work, and will highlight how some projects in local towns are helping marshes to be ready for the future, according to a news release from Ruth Indrick, project director.
The talk will feature Indrick, who manages the trust’s restoration and community science programs and spends part of her summer and fall tromping around marshes to learn about their plants and water. She is working on projects that support local marshes in Georgetown, Arrowsic, Westport Island, Woolwich and Phippsburg.
