Edward “Ed” Kervin

WATERVILLE – Edward “Ed” Kervin, 72, of Waterville, Maine and Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away March 25, 2025. Ed was born on March 14, 1953, in Waterville, to parents John and Marie (King) Kervin.

On March 29, 1980, he married the love of his life, Sandra. Together, they raised two sons, Jarod and Adam, and two daughters, Lori and Ariel.

After graduating high school, Ed proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1971-1974. He worked at Waterville Osteopathic Hospital, Service Merchandise, and Sam’s Club before eventually retiring as a General Manager from Dollar Tree. In 2015, he moved to Port Charlotte, Fla. with Sandra and Ariel.

Ed had a passion for his family, work, music, trivia and coaching soccer and baseball. He shared a love of the Dallas Cowboys, his favorite team, with his two sons. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, family, friends and his cats.

Ed is preceded in death by his son, Jarod; his parents John and Marie Kervin; James and Jacqueline Lajoie; his grandson, Mason; and his two brothers, William and Thomas.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; his son and best friend Adam and wife Amanda, his daughters Lori and Ariel; his grandchildren, Ariel, Abigail, Ava, Amelia, Alexander and Aspen; his favorite sister, Kathy; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held May 24, at 11 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church on Silver Street, Waterville, Maine, followed by a committal at St Francis Cemetery on Grove Street, Waterville, Maine.

Ed’s family would like to thank the staff at Lifecare Center of Punta Gorda. A special thanks to nurse Sabrina for going above and beyond to keep his spirit’s high and for the compassion she showed in Ed’s final days.
