CHELSEA — A juvenile male has been arrested and charged with murder in the deaths of two men at a home in Chelsea Wednesday, the Maine State Police said.
The men were dead when troopers arrived at the home just after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said in a statement Thursday afternoon.
A relative identified the men as Christopher Hunnewell and his son Tyler.
“A juvenile male was arrested at the scene and charged with murder,” Moss said in the statement. “He was taken into custody and transported to Long Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland. There is no danger to the public. The investigation remains ongoing. No additional information is being released at this time.”
Detectives and evidence response technicians with the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit Central processed the scene and the bodies were taken to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta, where autopsies will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death, Moss said.

The home where the police were investigating is at 616 Windsor Road, off Route 17.
Chelsea town records show the owner of 616 Windsor Road as Christopher Hunnewell, who also owns property at 630 Windsor Road.
Multiple calls and messages sent to family members and friends of the Hunnewells were not immediately returned Thursday.
