Theresa J. Pierce
AUGUSTA – Theresa J. Pierce, 82, died July 31, 2025, at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta after a long illness. She was born in Biddeford, on June 12, 1943, a daughter of the late Lucien and Gertrude (Lajoie) Veilleux.
Mrs. Pierce attended Augusta schools, was a communicant of St. Augustine Catholic Church and a former member of St. Paul’s Cursillo group.
Theresa found joy in community and connection. She loved spending time at the Calumet Club, often lending a hand in the kitchen. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling – especially to Canada – and cherished time spent with family and friends. She was an avid player of BINGO and cribbage, always ready for a friendly game.
She had been employed by the State of Maine for many years and previously worked at Hallowell Shoe Co.
Mrs. Pierce was predeceased by her husband, Robert M. Pierce Sr. and a brother, Frank Veilleux.
She is survived by three sons: Alfred Boucher of Vassalboro, Ronald Boucher of Augusta and David Boucher of Augusta; a daughter, Lisa Partridge of Augusta; two stepsons: Robert Pierce, Jr. of Augusta and Dean Pierce of Oakland; two stepdaughters: Deborah Deskowski of Benton and Karen Wilson of Pittston; a sister, Irene Charest and her husband Roger of Augusta; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss her dearly.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Aunt Irene and Debbie Bennett for their unwavering love, support and care throughout for their mother.
There are no public visiting hours planned. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 19, at 11 a.m., at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Northern Ave., Augusta. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery, Augusta.
