Jonathan Santucci and Will Watson combined to hold the Portland Sea Dogs to two hits, and the Binghamton Rumble Ponies walked off with a 1-0 win in an Eastern League game Tuesday in Binghamton, New York.
Santucci allowed two hits, struck out seven and didn’t walk a batter in five innings. Watson pitched four perfect innings of relief, striking out five.
Nick Morabito gave Binghamton the win with an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth.
Eduardo Rivera pitched six innings for Portland, allowing one hit, striking out seven and walking one. Jeremy Wu-Yelland pitched two scoreless innings before Jorge Juan allowed the winning run in the ninth.
Franklin Arias had a double and Marvin Alcantara a single for Portland.
