Colgate scored two goals in the second period to beat the University of Maine 3-2 in a men’s hockey game Friday night at Alfond Arena in Orono.
The Raiders (2-2-1) took a 1-0 lead on a power-play goal by Michael Neumeier 3:05 into the game. Maine (2-2-1) responded with goals by Oskar Komarov and Justin Poirier to take a 2-1 lead into the second period.
Robby Newton tied it for Colgate 3:41 into the second period, and Max Nagel scored on a power play 11 minutes later to give the Raiders the lead.
Reid Dyck stopped 25 shots for Colgate, while Albin Boija made 12 saves for Maine.
The teams face off again at 7 p.m. Saturday in Orono.
