Mike Posma netted a pair of goals for the second night in a row, and the Wheeling Nailers extended their winning streak to eight games with a 4-1 victory over the Maine Mariners in an ECHL game Saturday night in West Virginia.

Max Graham broke a scoreless tie midway through the second period, and Posma made it 2-0 in the final minute of the second.

Robert Cronin cut into Maine’s deficit with 7:40 remaining, but Zach Urdahl quickly restored Wheeling’s two-goal lead and Posma added an empty-net goal.

The Nailers moved two points ahead of Maine for first place in the North Division.
