Fairfield took a 15-point lead in the first quarter and beat UMaine 74-51 in a women’s basketball game Friday night in Fairfield, Connecticut.
Adrianna Smith recorded 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Black Bears, who dropped their third straight game and fell to 3-8. Asta Blauenfeldt added 17 points.
Kaety L’Amoreux scored 17 points, Meghan Andersen had 15 and Cyanne Coe 10 for Fairfield.
