EMBDEN – Mary (Rolfe) Richardson, 55, of Embden, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025.
Mary was born on Feb. 3, 1970, the daughter of Freida M. (Stanley) Rolfe and the late Leroy A. Rolfe.
Mary and Llewellyn met and were married on July 4, 1998, uniting their three daughters and two sons into one loving blended family.
In her early years, Mary dedicated time to coaching cheerleading. She enjoyed an active life, and her favorite pastimes included camping, motorcycling, and four-wheeling. Above all, she treasured spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.
Mary was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She is lovingly survived by her husband, Llewellyn Joseph Richardson; her mother, Freida M. (Stanley) Rolfe of North Anson; her mother-in-law, Judy Wacome of New Vineyard; and her five children, Schantel M. Pullen, Desaray A. Pullen, Tory A. Pullen, Joshua R. Richardson and wife Michelle, and Justin J. Richardson and fiancée Amairani.
She was a cherished grandmother to her five grandchildren, Connor M. Atkinson, Deacon J-L. Atkinson, Desire A. Richardson, Trinity L. Bowden, and Darrin W. Smith III.
She is also survived by her brother, Guy A. Rolfe of Eddington; her sister, Patricia Tucker and her husband Paul of North Anson, her sister, Kathy Bell of Norway, and her sister, Debbie Savage and her husband Brent of North Anson; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved father, Leroy A. Rolfe; her brother, Leroy E. Rolfe and her sister, Francis Rolfe.
A private Celebration of Life will be held for family and close friends at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13 at the Christ Community Fellowship Church, 43 Maple St., Madison, with reception immediately following.
