The Maine Mariners announced a schedule change for a home game on Wednesday, April 8, which was supposed to be against the Reading Royals but will now be against the Adirondack Thunder.
The game on April 8 was originally scheduled for Feb. 4 against the Orlando Solar Bears but was changed — both date and opponent — because the Mariners needed to add three makeup dates for games missed during the players’ strike. As a result, tickets for Feb. 4 will be valid on April 8.
Game time is still 7 p.m.
The Mariners also announced a trade, sending defenseman Tristan Thompson to the Wheeling Nailers for future considerations.
Thompson, 29, was in his second season with the Mariners. In 33 games this season, he had three goals and 11 assists.
