Finn Haynie hit three 3-pointers and scored all 16 of his points in the second half of Madison’s 54-45 boys basketball victory over Mountain Valley on Monday in Madison.

Jacob Linkletter contributed 14 points and eight rebounds and Brayden Furbush had 10 points and six rebounds for the Bulldogs (12-6), who will be the No. 2 or No. 3 seed in the Class D South tournament.

Blake Small led the Falcons (3-14) with 11 points, while Ridge Duguay finished with 10.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 79, LISBON 49: Levi Laverdiere made six 3-pointers and finished with 32 points to lead the Mustangs (12-5) past the Greyhounds (8-9) in Monmouth.

Tyler Day added 16 points for Monmouth, which outscored Lisbon 27-8 in the second quarter to pull away.

Owen Hurd scored 16 points and Jaxson Roy-Thompson finished with 14 for Lisbon.

FOREST HILLS 71, VINALHAVEN 55: Aaden Nadeau scored 23 points in the first half and finished with 40 as the Tigers (12-6) beat the Vikings (4-12) in Fairfield.

Jaxson Desjardins added 12 points for Forest Hills.

Hunter Hamilton scored 13 points, while Javin Poole and Eli Short each added 13 for Vinalhaven.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 68, OAK HILL 43: The Phoenix (15-2) went on a 22-11 run in the second quarter to take a 36-21 lead into halftime en route to a win over the Raiders (9-8) in Wales.

Cai Dougher paced the Phoenix with 17 points, while Owen Kelvey was right behind with 15 points. Austin Armandi scored 11 points and Dylan Jewett chipped in 10. The victory improves Spruce Mountain’s chances to secure the top seed in Class C South. The Phoenix wrap up their season Wednesday at home against Class D South-leading Mt. Abram.

PJ Smith scored 15 for Oak Hills, and Braden Dubuc had eight points.

MT. VIEW 72, WATERVILLE 42: Wyatt Bennett scored 20 points, including four 3-pointers, and the Mustangs (11-7) beat the Panthers (3-14) in Thorndike.

Ethan Cunningham added five 3-pointers and finished with 19 points for Mount View.

Connor Bean and Elijah Cullen each had 12 points, and Jakobe Gagne added 10 for Waterville.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

FOREST HILLS 54, NORTH HAVEN 30: Kelsey Rancourt scored 23 points and the Tigers (8-6) beat the Vikings (14-4) in Fairfield.

Morgan Daigle added 10 points for Forest Hills. 

Elsie Mann scored 14 points and Whitney Newman added 10 for North Haven.

BOYS HOCKEY

GARDINER CO-OP 4, BRUNSWICK 1: Gardiner/Waterville/Winslow/Lawrence/Richmond/Wiscasset (3-8) scored three second-period goals in a win over Brunswick/Freeport (3-9) at the Thomas College Ice Vault in Hallowell.

Maddox Lambert opened the scoring, and Remington Lamoreau added two goals to give the Gardiner co-op a 3-1 lead.

Maxwell Conforth scored in the third period. Winning goalie Cole Arbour made 29 saves.

Brunswick got a second-period goal from Liam Nihill. Dragons goalie Michael Shoemaker stopped 37 shots.
