The Maine Mariners scored a power-play goal in each period, three players finished with four points apiece, and Brad Arvanitis earned his third shutout of the season Friday night with a 5-0 ECHL win over the Adirondack Thunder in Glens Falls, New York.
The victory ended Adirondack’s 10-game winning streak and extended Maine’s winning streak to six games, all on the road. The Thunder hadn’t lost since a 6-3 win by Maine on Jan. 31.
Robert Cronin, Brooklyn Kalmikov and Nick Anderson all finished with a goal and three assists. Power-play goals by Anderson in the first period, Cronin in the second period and Max Andreev in the third made it 3-0. Kalmikov and Jacob Hudson rounded out the goal scoring.
Arvanitis, meanwhile, continue his hot streak by stopping all 26 shots he faced. He has allowed just four goals total in his last five games.
The Mariners are now 6-1 on an eight-game road trip the ends Saturday night in Worcester.
