Two state champions from Thornton Academy headline the Travis Roy Award finalists.
Trent LeSieur and Jake Skillings are joined by Ben Dumais (Cheverus/Yarmouth) and Cole Hanson (Falmouth) for the award given to the top senior Class A hockey player in the state.
Skillings led Class A in points with 49 (21 goals, 28 assists). He scored the winning goal Saturday in a 2-1 victory in the Class A state championship game against Cheverus/Yarmouth. He also notched an assist on Brennan Tabor’s tying goal.
LeSieur recorded 42 points (23 goals, 19 assists), which was third among Class A skaters. He set up the goal by Skillings on Saturday.
Hanson led Falmouth with 19 goals and 11 assists. His 30 points were seventh most in the state’s top class.
Dumais, a St. Dominic Academy transfer, was the top scorer for Cheverus/Yarmouth with 29 points (16 goals and 13 assists), eighth most in Class A.
The winner will be announced Saturday at the Class A Coaches Association banquet at the Augusta Civic Center. Thornton Academy goalie Drew Johnson was the 2025 Travis Roy Award winner,
