The Trois-Rivières Lions scored three goals in a span of 4:19 early in the third period to earn a 3-2 win over the Maine Mariners in an ECHL game Wednesday night at Cross Insurance Arena.
Goals by Nicholas Girouard, Cédric Desruisseaux and Morgan Adams-Moisan erased Maine’s 1-0 lead. Jacob Hudson quickly answered with a power-play goal, but the Mariners couldn’t produce an equalizer as they lost for only the third time in their last 20 games.
Jacob Perreault scored in the first period and Brad Arvanitis made 36 saves for the Mariners, who have already clinched a playoff berth. Maine is in second place in the North Division.
