
Bonnie Bickford
SMITHFIELD – Bonnie passed away peacefully in her home on April 8, 2026, surrounded by her husband and family. She was born in Waterville, June 2, 1958, to Robert and Laura Brown and attended school in Skowhegan.
Bonnie was a homemaker all her married life. She always put everyone’s needs above her own, and made sure her family was taken care of. She was married at sixteen years old and spent 51 years with the love of her life Sherwood Bickford.
She has been a resident of Smithfield, for 25 years.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she enjoyed baking and napping with her grandchildren. She always made sure they were taken care of, and of course she loved a good Christmas movie, it was her favorite holiday. She also enjoyed hunting and fishing with her family.
Bonnie was survived by her husband Sherwood Bickford; daughter Jean Bickford; son Matthew Bickford; her mother Laura Brown; brother Bruce; and her grandchildren: Alexis Puccio, Jaide Houghton, Jacob Dostie, Ivey Bickford, and Delani Harrington and great-grandchildren: Elijah Puccio, Nadiya Puccio, Sophia Davis, Evelynn Wright, Berklee Houghton, Wylee Houghton, Lincoln and Grayson.
She was predeceased by her father Robert Brown; sister Roberta Heild; brother Stevie and niece Kathy Buzzel and many aunts and uncles.
A graveside service will be held on June 2, 2026, at 2 p.m., at the Village Cemetery in Smithfield.
