Caroline Kunkkala recorded three goals and an assist as Bonny Eagle opened its girls lacrosse season Saturday with a 10-4 win over Cony in Augusta.
Elizabeth Hamilton also scored three goals, while Kalia Davis and Ryanne Robinson each added two. Brynn Tilburg stopped 12 shots for the Scots (1-0).
Gabby Vachon scored three goals and Katelynn Dutil had a goal and an assist for Cony (0-2). Avery Maxim made eight saves.
NYA 13, SOUTH PORTLAND 2: Darling Rogenes scored four goals, all in the second half, as North Yarmouth Academy pulled away in its season opener, at South Portland.
Ava Wilkinson, Gwen Wilkinson, Ellie Clifford and Kenlie Nadeau each added a pair of goals for NYA, which outscored the Red Riots 9-0 in the second half.
Cassidy Clyde and Donnelly Maloji scored for South Portland (0-2).
