Jeannine C. Veilleux
AUGUSTA – Jeannine C. Veilleux, 82, died Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center at Glenridge following a long illness.
She was born in St. Evariste, Quebec, Canada on April 14, 1944, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Carmen (Hamann) Goulet. Mrs. Veilleux attended school in Canada and was a communicant of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Augusta. She had been employed at MaineGeneral Medical Center for 48 years, retiring in 2009.
Mrs. Veilleux is survived by her husband, Guy Y. Veilleux of Augusta; and her sister, Muriel Young of Manchester.
The family would like to thank the staff at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation at Glenridge for the care and compassion they showed to Jeannine and the family during her time with them.
At her request, there will be no public visiting hours. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 24 at 12 p.m., at Holy Family Cemetery, Townsend Road, Augusta.
