Angelina Boisvert, Nokomis senior: A transfer from Maine Central Institute, Boisvert won the Class C 100-meter hurdles (15.97 seconds) and shot put (33 feet, 9 inches) titles last year, and was also runner-up in the long (16-4 3/4) and triple (34-4 1/2) jumps.

Gabrielle Finelli, MCI senior: Finelli won the KVAC Small School 300-meter hurdles last year in 48.82. She was also a Varsity Maine All-State indoor pick after winning Class B KVAC and state titles in the 55 hurdles (8.73, 8.66) and KVAC B triple jump (36-1).

Karoline Gonzales, Mt. Blue sophomore: Gonzales, who won the KVAC Large School 100-meter dash in 12.92 seconds last season, is the top-returning Class A girl statewide in that event. She will also compete for a KVAC title in the 200 after placing second (26.83) last year.

Natalie Grant, Gardiner junior: The Tigers always seem to have a dominant race walker, and Grant, who claimed both the Class B state (8:09.63 seconds) and KVAC Large School (8:11.41) crowns last year, will be one of the fastest one anywhere in the state in 2026.

Leah Harper, Madison junior: The Bulldogs have one of the state’s premier distance duos, regardless of class, in Harper and senior BryAnna Hagopian. Harper is Class C’s No. 1 returner statewide in both the 800 (2:27.78) and 1,600 (5:20.88) runs.

Grace Mayo, Skowhegan senior: Mayo is the reigning KVAC Large long jump (17-3 1/2) and triple jump (33-10 1/2) champ and added KVAC A indoor titles (long: 16-8 3/4; triple: 35-0 1/2) this winter. She was second last season in the Class A outdoor long jump (17-4 1/2).

Sovie Rau, Erskine Academy junior: After winning the KVAC Small School 400 title (1:01.11) last spring, Rau added KVAC B 200 (26.63) and 400 (1:01.39) indoor titles this winter. She’ll also contend in the 100 after her 13.12-second time was 0.01 off a KVAC Small title last year.

Issabella Spell, MCI sophomore: Spell placed second in the triple jump at last year’s KVAC Small School (34-5) and Class C outdoor (34-4) meets as well as at this year’s KVAC B indoor meet (34-6 1/2). She also placed sixth in Class C outdoor states in the 100 (13.49).

Evelyn Stevenson, Maranacook junior: One of the state’s premier high jumpers, Stevenson took home titles at both the Class C (5 feet) and MVC (4-10) meets as a sophomore last spring. She also claimed the MVC 100 hurdles crown in 17.25 seconds.

Jessie Willey, Hall-Dale senior: Willey is both the MVC and Class C discus favorite this year. She won the MVC title with a throw of 101-9 last season and was second in Class C with a 98-10. She also placed third at MVCs in the 400 (1:05.75).

Also keep an eye on: Emily Daigneault, Winslow senior, hurdles/jumps; Daphne Hands, MCI senior, hurdles/high jump; Alexandria McDonough, Messalonskee junior, hurdles/high jump; Maria Moumouris, Winslow sophomore, sprints/jumps.
