T. Alberta “Bunny” (Clements) Sarvia

COVENTRY, R.I. – T. Alberta “Bunny” (Clements) Sarvia, 102, of Coventry, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Westview Nursing Home in West Warwick. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony M. “Tony” Sarvia.

Born on Nov. 26, 1923, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Theresa (O’Keefe) Clements.

During World War II, Bunny proudly contributed to the war effort as a welder at the South Boston Navy Yard-an accomplishment she held close to her heart throughout her life. She later continued her commitment to helping others as a special education aide for the Coventry School System.

A graduate of Dorchester Latin High School in Massachusetts, Bunny remained deeply involved in her community over the years. She served as a 4-H leader and was a past matron and member of Order of the Eastern Star ADAH Chapter No. 15, as well as a member of Martha Washington Chapter No. 18. She was also a past commander and treasurer of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, a member of the Coventry Senior Center, and a devoted parishioner of Trinity Episcopal Church in Scituate, where she served as a Eucharistic minister and a member of the altar guild.

Bunny found great joy in painting, particularly working with acrylic watercolors, and cherished the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by her loving children, Candace L. Manocchio of Vassalboro; Kenneth M. Sarvia of West Warwick; and Tonia Ann Perra of Coventry. She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense happiness.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 10-11 a.m. at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
Remembrances may be made at http://www.carpenterjenks.com.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Coventry Animal Shelter, 60 Wood Street, Coventry, RI 02816.
