Sandra Joyce (Fereshetian) Weston

MADISON – Our mother, Sandra Joyce Fereshetian Weston, born Feb. 27, 1950, passed away unexpectedly the morning of Friday April 17, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Massachusetts to Helen Craig Fereshetian and Richard Fereshetian. Her entire life she loved music. A drummer she was, in an all-girls band in high school called “What’s This…Madness?” She loved animals and was a life long cat lover, especially. She was a talented fiber artist.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years and one day, Thomas; and six children, Joshua, Noah, Heidi, Burke, Hannah, and Melanie. There were many children she didn’t birth, but loved and was proud of, like her own. She had four grandchildren, Jonah, Bird, Alice, and Isabel. She constantly lamented not being able to travel to visit her grandchildren and was incredibly proud of them. She also is survived by her sisters Claire, Pam, and Wendy; as well as many nephews and nieces.

During her time working for the Anson school district, she made many life long friends and loved being able to work with young people. She loved teaching kids about the arts and was proud to have introduced the civil rights program to Garrett Schenk school.

Our mom was many things to many people. A musician, an artist, an educator, an advocate for those who didn’t have one or those who needed one, a farmer, a political warrior who stood out and up against anything she deemed not right, a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a mom, and most importantly, a friend.

There will be no formal services at this time but the family plans to hold a gathering in the coming months.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home and Cremation Services. To leave a condolence for the family and to view the online obituary, please visit http://www.gibersonfuneralhome.com
