WATERVILLE — A man was injured Friday on College Avenue when his motorcycle left the roadway after striking a curb.
Police say the man was riding north on College Avenue in the area of Dunkin’ when the crash happened, drawing both police and first responders to the scene. He was initially taken to MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta and flown by LifeFlight of Maine helicopter to Maine Medical Center in Portland with serious injuries.
Waterville police Maj. Jason Longley wrote in an email that the man’s condition appears to be improving.
The investigation is ongoing, but there are no existing traffic concerns, according to the Waterville Police Department. Members of the Maine State Police are helping with the crash reconstruction.
