While some rankings have unanimous No. 1 teams, the Varsity Maine boys lacrosse poll has that and a unanimous No. 2. Thornton Academy received every first-place vote and Falmouth garnered all nine second-place votes. In fact, the Golden Trojans and the Navigators were also the unanimous No. 1 and No. 2 in last week’s poll.

Yarmouth remains No. 3, while Messalonskee and Deering sort of swap places. The Eagles moved from fifth to fourth, while the Rams are now tied for fifth with Cape Elizabeth.

The top six teams appeared in all nine voters’ rankings, and no other team was ranked by more than five voters. Fifteen teams received at least two votes. In other words, there could be a lot of changes in the upcoming polls.

The Varsity Maine boys lacrosse poll is based on games played before May 5, 2026. The top 10 teams are voted on by the Varsity Maine staff, with first-place votes in parentheses, followed by total points.
