Fatherhood snaps our priorities into place, broadens our perspective and quickly teaches us that leading by example — doing not saying — is how we build great kids and strong families. Yet, while we expect this of ourselves, we’ve settled for politicians who don’t lead from the front, but shout from the back. No more.
The truth is, this world’s getting more extreme while politicians (and their solutions) become less believable. For governor, I want a sure thing. Why choose between someone who knows how to make Augusta work vs. a business-builder vs. a lifelong Mainer? There’s one candidate who stands out by embodying all three of those qualities: Garrett Mason.
Garrett’s a girl Dad. A lifelong Mainer with 200-year-old roots. The youngest Senate majority leader in Maine’s history. And a business owner many times over. He’s led Maine from the front, and I’d sure vote for him.
