The Forest Hills baseball team split a pair of neutral-site games Thursday, beating Vinalhaven/North Haven 4-2 and falling to Telstar 11-0 at Manson Park in Pittsfield.

Against the Vikings (1-4), the Tigers (2-4) scored two runs in the first inning, two in the third and held on for the victory.

Aaden Nadeau and Rory Danforth both hit a single and a double, pacing Forest Hills’ eight-hit attack. Liam Achey was the winning pitcher, allowing one earned run on six hits and two walks while striking out seven.

In the other game, Telstar’s Brennan Walker pitched a one-hit shutout with 15 strikeouts for Telstar. Bryson Walker was 3 for 5 with a double and two RBI for the Rebels (4-2), and Michael Early reached base four times with two hits and two walks, scored three runs and drove in two.

Aaden Nadeau had the only hit for Forest Hills.

SOFTBALL

CARRABEC 15, VALLEY 5: Lily Caldwell was 2 for 2 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored as the Cobras (5-4) beat the Cavaliers (0-7) in six innings, at Anson.

Amiya Tibbetts also drove in two runs, Kaitlin Dellarma hit a triple and scored twice, and Lilly Kinney was 2 for 3 with three runs scored.

Carrabec invoked the 10-run rule by scoring five runs in the fifth and four in the sixth.

Liana Hartwell had two RBI for Valley.
