Leeland Tom Morang

MANCHESTER – Leeland Tom Morang, 85, passed away on April 20, 2026, in Manchester. Born on April 12, 1941, Tom was a lifelong creator and craftsman, known for his skill in woodworking. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as mowing his lawn, gardening, fishing, and bird watching. These activities reflected his deep appreciation for nature.
Tom dedicated many years to the Augusta School Department, a pivotal place not just for his career but also for his personal life, as it was where he met his beloved wife, Beth (Nickerson) Morang. His work there left a lasting impact on many.
He is survived by his wife, Beth; children, Jeffery Morang and his wife Tammy, Mike Morang, Debbie Homrich and her husband Bill, and Candace Tillson and her husband Charlie; his brother, Howard Morang; Tom’s first wife, Jeanne Morang. Tom was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather to several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His life was enriched by their love and the joy they brought him.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Leeland and Beverly Morang, and his sisters, Carol and Nancy. His family and friends will remember him as a man who loved life, cherished his family, and made the most of every moment he had. Tom’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and the many projects he crafted by hand, which remain as testaments to his skill and passion.
