I see that the scheduled debate for Maine Democratic Senate candidates has been canceled, after the withdrawal of Gov. Mills from the primary race. There are still two candidates for the nomination: Graham Platner, who gets constant media coverage, and David Costello, who is being disregarded by the cancellation of the debate.
Popularity created by media attention does not have anything to do with the qualifications of the candidates. People should please look beyond the current Platner frenzy in the press when considering their Democratic primary vote.
