Will Watson hit a three-run home in the second inning and finished with four RBI as Maranacook cruised to an 11-1 win over Lisbon in a six-inning Mountain Valley Conference baseball game Saturday in Readfield.
Watson, Noah Longfellow, Jack Spellman and Carter Nelson all had two hits for Maranacook (6-1). Spellman belted a triple.
Jeff Tuplin’s fourth-inning single was the only hit for Lisbon (3-3) against Maranacook’s Grady Hreben.
SOFTBALL
FOREST HILLS SWEEPS RANGELEY: Kelsey Rancourt was 2 for 2 with a home run, five RBI and three runs scored to lead the Tigers (6-1) to a 15-3 win in three innings over the Lakers (0-6) in the first game of a doubleheader in Jackman.
Janessa Moffitt pitched a three inning no-hitter for the Tigers. Macie Baker added two hits.
Macie Baker allowed one hit in four innings to lead the Tigers to a 10-0 win in four innings in the second game.
Kelsey Rancourt and Addison Chaisson each had two RBI for Forest Hills.
