Phyllis Ann (Rodzen) Reeger

FT. MYERS, Fla. – Phyllis Reeger of Ft. Myers, Fla., (previously a Maine resident), passed away at the age of 84 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

She was a graduate of Skowhegan High School, Class of 1961. Phyllis then became a nurse and had a long career in nursing homes in Maine and Florida.

She spent the last 30 years living in Florida when she wasn’t traveling across the country in her RV with her husband Paul. Phyllis loved nature, camping, fishing, butterflies, birds and animals especially her little dogs, of which she always had at least one or two of by her side her whole life.

She also loved festivals, country music, dancing and had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh! She loved to eat Maine lobster and whoopie pies whenever she visited Maine. She truly lived her life to the fullest!

She leaves behind her three children, Susan Hoyt-Russell of Skowhegan, Harry Estes of Mesa, Ariz., and Sherry Estes Gaasch of Sarasota, Fla.; as well as two grandchildren, Lace Spencer of Denver, Colo., and Sebastian Russell of Chicago, Ill.; her brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Judy Rodzen of Skowhegan; and her husband, Paul Reeger of Ft. Myers, Fa.

A celebration of her life will be held this month at the coast in Maine.
