Olivia French hit a grand slam in the fifth inning to end the game as Oak Hill earned a 14-3 mercy-rule victory over Madison in a Class C South softball game Thursday in Wales.
French finished with five RBI. Izzy Whitaker, Ava Lemont and Emma Dubois both drove in a pair of runs for Oak Hill (5-4), which scored eight runs in the fifth. Whitaker hit a triple.
Izabella Stonick had a triple and Kenadi Berry drove in two runs for Madison (3-4).
GIRLS LACROSSE
MARANACOOK/WINTHROP 11, CONY 6: Stella Stewart and Celia Bergdahl each tallied three goals for Maranacook/Winthrop (8-0) in a win over Cony (3-5) at Augusta.
Both Stewart and Bergdahl also caused four turnovers and had five ground balls. Stewart added three assists and 17 draw controls.
